Ed Sheeran presenta “Sapphire”, radiando una vibrante energía pop y ricas influencias de varias culturas, la canción está destinada a dejar su marca este 2025

Tras el pop hedonista y multicolor de “Azizam” y la clásica y sentida nostalgia de “Old Phone”, Ed Sheeran regresa con “Sapphire”.

Este tema es un himno deslumbrante de conexión y alegría desenfrenada.

“Sapphire” es una luminosa celebración del amor que trasciende fronteras.

Cuenta con una voz cautivante, una percusión del sur asiático, voces de fondo y la cítara del legendario artista indio Arijit Singh.

De este modo, la canción crea un tapiz único que le habla al idioma universal del amor.

Los fans son transportados en un viaje sonoro íntimo y a la vez expansivo, que cobra vida gracias a la talentosa producción de Ilya Salmanzadeh, Johnny McDaid y Savan Kotecha.

Sobre “Sapphire”, Ed Sheeran comenta:

“Fue la primera canción que terminé para Play y la que me hizo saber hacia dónde se dirigía el álbum. Por eso finalicé el proceso de grabación en Goa, rodeado de algunos de los mejores músicos de la India. Fue un proceso creativo increíble”.

Al hablar del videoclip, el artista señala:

“Filmé el video musical con Liam y Nic durante mi gira por la India a principios de este año. Queríamos mostrar la belleza y amplitud del país y su cultura. La pieza final del rompecabezas para mí fue incluir a Arijit en la grabación. Fue un viaje llegar hasta allí y un día increíble de música y familia. Él y yo hicimos una versión completa en punjabi de la canción que saldrá en las próximas semanas, y en la que él tiene una participación mucho Más destacada. Esta es la versión del álbum, y mi canción favorita del disco. Espero que les encante”.

El video de “Sapphire” contó con la dirección de Liam Pethick, e incluye la participación de Arijit Singh y un cameo del icónico actor Shah Rukh Khan.

Comienza con Ed interpretando la canción sobre una terraza al amanecer; luego nos transporta en un viaje por varias locaciones.

Los viajes de Ed lo llevan desde la terraza a playas, riberas, mercados atestados de gente, cocinas hogareñas y sets de Bollywood.

Ed Sheeran lanzará su nuevo álbum PLAY el 12 de septiembre de 2025.

Ed Sheeran estrenó F64, una emotiva canción dedicada a la memoria de su amigo Jamal Edwards.

No es un tema más en la historia del artista. El material guarda cierta intimidad, porque está dedicada a su amigo Jamal quien falleció en febrero del 2022.

Se trata de una persona importante para la carrera de Sheeran: fue el fundador de la plataforma SBTV, la cual sirvió como impulso para su carrera y la de otros tantos artistas.

En el videoclip Ed aparece cantando en el centro del estadio del Chelsea, el equipo del cual era hincha Edwards. Las tribunas están vacias, a oscuras, dándole un toque de intimidad fuerte. De repente, se encienden unas velas a su alrededor mientras va avanzando la canción.

Comentó Ed Sheeran sobre esta canción:

“No sabía en ese momento que terminaría siendo el primer sencillo del álbum, pero aquí estamos.”

Musicalmente, Sheeran rapea al acordarse de su amigo al contar lo importante que fue para su carrera y también algunos detalles de su vida en estos últimos meses.

“Sesiones de terapia, profundizar en la depresión. Tengo una vida llena de bendiciones, pero esto simplemente me rompe el jodido corazón. La gente me encuentra y me para en la calle y dice que es terrible / Pero no te conocen como yo te conocí y nunca lo harán. Te hubiera encantado amar a mis hijitas. Si no fuera por ellas, habría terminado con el mundo”, expresa en la emotiva letra dedicada a Edwards.

El artista argentino Paulo Londra y el cantante británico Ed Sheeran, participan de una colaboración única y lanzan el single “Noche de novela”, el cual también tiene videoclip.

Esta colaboración es la segunda entre ambos, la primera fue en el 2019 cuando presentaron “Nothing on you“, single en el que también participó el rapero británico Dave.

Paulo Londra compartió unas palabras sobre Ed Sheeran en su Instagram:

“Estoy contentazo loco, muchas gracias a todos ustedes por la devolución que le están dando a Noche de novela.”

“Muchas gracias a Ed Sheeran, es un ángel ese tipo, no saben la paz que transmite, la sencillez, lo clara que la tiene con la música… Es un maestro, que el loco flashee hacer música conmigo, la verdad que no caigo…” confesó, incrédulo por poder colaborar con una figura internacional.

El videoclip de este proyecto realizado superó el millón de visitas en YouTube en menos de veinticuatro horas.

Ed Sheeran mencionó a Paulo Londra en una entrevista que se le hizo y dijo:

“Sinceramente, creo que va a ser uno de los artistas más importantes del mundo. Realmente lo creo.”, enfatizó.

“Como ser humano tiene un gran corazón. Trabajé con él en la canción Nothing on you y me mandó tres versiones diferentes para su parte. Me dijo ´quiero asegurarme que sea perfecta´. No muchos artistas hacen eso. Eso es algo realmente profesional” destacó. “Cuando lo conocí en el rodaje del video estuvo tan sonriente, tan cálido, tan encantador… es un tipo genial.”
