La discográfica Universal Music, ha anunciado el lanzamiento de This Is How (We Want You To Get High), primer tema inédito de George Michael que ve la luz desde 2012.
Definido como “un clásico uptempo funky”, la canción fue compuesta y producida por el propio artista y por su colaborador James Jacksman, grabada en sus últimas sesiones en Air Studios de Londres, aunque no fue hasta 2015 cuando fue sometida a sus últimos retoques.
El motivo del lanzamiento ha sido su inclusión como parte de Last Christmas, una nueva película inspirada en la música de George Michael y Wham!.
Tres serán los temas de aquella primera formación incluidos en la banda sonora del filme, que estará disponible a partir de este viernes 8 de noviembre con otros doce temas de la carrera del músico británico en solitario.
Con un estreno previsto para diciembre en cines argentinos, Last Christmas es una comedia romántica protagonizada por Emilia Clarke, Henry Golding y Emma Thompson, quien además ha coescrito el guion.
Según Universal Music, George Michael le dio a la intérprete en persona sus “bendiciones” para sacar adelante este proyecto, que empezó a gestarse en 2013 y que contó con varias versiones antes del fallecimiento del artista el día de Navidad de 2016.
